Another one the result of my learning photoshop. This one also mixed of 3 pictures.

- The ship, taken in a very bright day with a dull sky.
Camera : D70s
Lens : Nikkor 18-70mm
Shutter speed : 1/400
F : 9

The moon
Camera : Nikon D70s
Lens : Sigma 70-300
Shutter speed : 1/200
F : 5.3
shot with 3 steps under

The clouds
Camera : Nikon D70s
Lens : Sigma 28-70mm
Shutter speed : 1/2000
F : 10

PS Work :
Add clouds to the ship picture blend with multiply. And do some brush and clone stamp to remove unwanted clouds off the ships. T0 make it smoother especially where the ship met the clouds, I add a copy background layer and blend it with soft light. Then add the moon shot with has been selected with masking and blend with multiply. Brush a little to make it blend smoothly. After flatten the image, I give the toning by colour balance. With the pick up colour, I give the mist by adding a new layer, and blend it with screen. Brush the screen layer to make the mist. Overall image soften a little with neat image, also to remove noise because the tonal adjustment.

Here the result, hope you like it. Idea or suggestin to do it better would really appreciated.

J'aime l'ambiance mystérieuse, elle aurait pu ętre accentué avec une autre coloration, plus sombre ou en noir et blanc mais ce n'est qu'une question de gout personnel. bravo!

Very good job you did with those photos. Excellent PP work. You create very dramatique atmosphere.

Hi Yan,
Great work and great result! You created a mystic mood here. It must be an artist to make a so beautiful creation! Congratulations! Annie

A very effective composition. It all seems very spooky. The use of light is particularly effective in this regard.

Spooky One :)
Good idea and well done mood!!!

Salute.

Good PP work to merge three shots together so well. The picture itself is eerie and reminds me of a ghost ship emerging from the fog (I've seen too many horror films). I'm not sure that the colour tint you've used adds to the drama, but it might be just how it appears on my monitor.
Thanks for sharing

Une trčs belle création Yan! Une atmosphčre d’histoire de fantômes, de vaisseaux perdus dans un monde chimérique. Le choix de couleurs verdâtres est trčs efficace.
Splendide travail!
Bravo!
Michel

Hi Yan,

What a great moody composition!!! The dark lighting and the silhouettes of the ship and moon, makes it look like a scene from a horror movie... :))
Very atmospheric and very well seen and composed!

I'm glad this showed up in the portal, Yan. Beautiful piece of PP-work! My only nit-pick is that you left the anchor chain untouched; IMO it would have been more realistic if you had cloned it out. But as said, that's only a minor thing.
Excellent work. TFS

Hello Yan,nice to meet you!!!
This is an exellent shot.
I think that colors and tones are perfect and well definited.
Image is so amazing, the enormous size of view of the ship.
In the dark of night.
Congratullations.
Regards, good luck and hope to see you since now :)

Oooo very spooky shot! Love the greens and the moon is awesome looking here!
Great shot!

You have won a TEXAS EXCELLENCE AWARD!

I hope to learn as soon as possible learning photoshop this way! :-)
Bravo!

Ciao, Antonella

this is so amazing. It looks like it came out of a scifi or horror movie

Hi, Yan this is a wonderful masterpiece blending these 3 photos together and thanks for sharing the details on how you did it. Just one critism, I think that the clouds across the moon are too cleanly cut its like a straight line. I think it should be a bit more fluffy or uneven to make it more real looking. What do you think ?
TFS,
john
