|Christmas Day in Napier New Zealand. Napier is known for its 'Art Deco' architecture. There are art deco tours, and you can often see somebody dressed to the 9s as a flapper girl or a roarin' guy. As I wandered the city on Christmas day, there was an erie sense of calm and desertion about the city as most people were occupied with their family Christmas celebrations. This left the city to the tourists with cameras and tripods. Most people were sizing up the beautiful stucco facades of offices and buildings along the main strip. I was intrigued by this back alley way. I reckon nobody has ever shot it. I wanted to use focus as a mood setter and keep the picture very soft. |
Post processing was only a crop and some levels (first time I haven't done a USM for a shot)
Please let me know what you think- good or bad.
