The steep cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, the place where the bloodiest battles of Normandy took place, code named 'Omaha Beach'. The holes that you can see on the ground were made by the huge bombs of Allied ships. Although I took this shot 61 years after the events, it was still shocking to walk around this place...

Hi Kristof,
Great shot of this historic place, I've heard alot about Omaha Beach before. Nice tones, although I feel that a bit more of the sky could do with cropping to make the photo more balanced. Great POV and the inclusion of people though, the presentation has worked well again.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Kristof,

The cloudy skies give this scene a somber tone. It's difficult for most of us to imagine the horrors of those events that took place there 61 years ago. The bomb holes serve as a stark reminder. Good job with this shot.

Werner

Bonsoir Kristof
Cordialement
