This image lacked contrast, so I've
1. made levels correction (histogram will show you that you should add more shadows and highlights as well)
2. added vignette on new transparent layer (it can be done in many ways, for example with soft-edged brush + Gaussian blur), played with transparency of the layer to see what look's best
3.added simple frame.
I forgot to sharpen the image, but here it was not so desperately needed anyway.

Zdjęcie wydawało mi się za ciemne i zbyt zielonkawo-niebieskie, więc:
-korekta poziomów
-zmiana balansu kolorów (zdjęłam zielono-niebieski na rzecz czerwonego)
-dodałam ma± ramkę.

It seems to me that there's more life in this shot now, I hope you like it!

Nicely framed flower. But your photo is too dark. So I corrected levels, increased saturation (+10), addad vignette (there are some distracting details at the edges; sharpened (value 10).

(113) [2009-04-09 23:55:54] [2] | This photo is too dark, even for a cloudy day. So I just corrected levels, to give more light and very slightly increase contrast - but not much, to not spoil the mood. I couldn't do anything with centered composition, because framing is too tight.

Your photo is too dark and it lacks contrast. It wasn't good weather for shooting, was it?
Here's what I did:
-duplicated layer in GIMP
-corrected curves on the upper layer - more lights, darker shadows - general Idea was to increase contrast
-saturation correction
-I rubbed off the sky from the top layer with soft brush
That's all, I hope you'll like it.

-duplikacja warstwy
Na górnej warstwie:
-korekcja poziomów
-zaznaczenie tła wg koloru, ze zmiękczonymi krawędziami
-usunięcie zaznaczonego tła
Napisz, co o tym sądzisz.
